At Suomu Ski resort everybody delights in downhill skiing. Suomutunturi’s 13 various slopes offer a challenge equally to experts and to beginners. The greatest height difference of Suomu fell is 240 metres. The longest slope is 1700m.
Northern side and front slopes
Suomu’s northern side draws experienced downhill skiers to black and red runs. The slopes’ good profile and quality offer an enjoyable challenge throughout the whole run. The fact that many of national alpine racing and freestyle teams are practising in Suomu Ski resort speaks something of our slopes.
The northern side challenges snowboarders and telemarkers by jumps, boxes, rails and hillocks. Those appreciating difficulty should try the black run of Syöksyrinne, where a number of world champions and Olympic Games winners have experienced peak moments in the beginning of their careers!
Eastern Suomu slopes Front slopes and the eastern side of the ski centre where skiing is pleasant due to pine forest protecting from the wind are suitable for beginners and leisurely skiers. At the base of the slope near the lingonberry path you will find a cosy sheltered tepee for roasting sausages and having a rest after active skiing.
